Mike Galdamez

 
 

 

Rev. Michael Galdamez, the senior pastor of Zion Baptist Church, is a graduate of Columbia Bible College in South Carolina.  He graduated in May of 1997 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bible and Bible Teaching.  He received his Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in December of 2004 with a concentration on Pastoral Ministry and Theology. 

Michael was ordained a gospel minister on August 19, 2001 at Grace Baptist Church in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  He is now working on his dissertation to complete his Ph.D. degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  His Doctoral focus is Christian Preaching with minors in Systematic Theology and Christian Philosophy.  His disseratation explores the use of a gospel-centered worldview in the preaching ministry of the church.  This study focuses on the preaching ministries of J. Gresham Machen and Timothy J. Keller.

Michael was born on February 8, 1974, in Kansas City, Missouri.  He met his wife, Amy, while attending Columbia Bible College, and they were married on June 14, 1997.  They have three children, Michael Jr., age 11, Hudson, age 9, and Hannah Kate, age 14 months.

Favorite verse: Galatians 6:14  "My purpose is to exalt Christ by edifying His church through pastoral leadership, preaching, teaching and reaching out with the truth of the gospel."
