Terry Sampson, Minister of Education

I have the responsibility of helping people grow in their relationship with Christ. This includes all age groups with the help of many gifted leaders through programs such as Sunday School, discipleship classes, AWANA and other ministry areas. I also am in charge of the administration of the church office, support personnel, and facilities.

I felt God’s call to ministry while in college. I attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and received my Master of Divinity in 1981. Since seminary, I have served five different churches in Louisiana, Tennessee, and Georgia as Minister of Education.

My family is very important to me. My wife Jill serves as Weekday Preschool Director and Preschool Coordinator for Zion. We have two wonderful daughters. Jennifer who is married to Joey Rolen. Jennifer teaches Fourth Grade at Richmond Christian School in Richmond, Virginia and teaches Sunday School for youth girls at Swift Creek Baptist Church where Joey serves as Minster to Students. Brittany teaches character building and abstinence to middle and high school students in West Tennessee through an organization called Right Choices. She is active at First Baptist Church of Humboldt, Tennessee. We try to spend time together as much as our busy schedules will allow.
