MINISTRIES
MINISTRIES
"Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart." 2 Corinthians 4:1
Our many diverse ministry groups allow us to reach the community, young and old.
Here at Zion, we are called by God to walk alongside, encourage, and care for each other in love. Through our ministries we are able to rejoice together, mourn together, repent from our sins, and overall bring glory to the Lord's name. We all long for a place of belonging, a place of understanding, and lack of judgement. Each of our ministries offer a safe place for our community to find their faith again, to find hope and strength within Him.
Life is hard enough doing things without having a relationship with God, but when we unite as God's children and work together to stand strong, to be relentless and rooted in his word and the work He has planned for us, we at Zion can ultimately reach the world.
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
OUR NAME
The Children's Ministry at Zion Baptist Church is anchored by this verse of scripture. We believe our children can set an amazing example in their faith and truly change the world. Each program and event provided for Children is a Bible-based curriculum designed to help children learn about God and how to apply that knowledge to their lives. Our programs are led by dedicated Christian teachers that realize this responsibility is not only biblical but crucial to the future of our children and their soul. We have no higher priority than leading children to a closer relationship with Christ. We teach biblical based lessons on listening, honoring, obeying, and living for Christ. In every interaction, we will strive to present scripture, and particularly the gospel, with crystal clarity on a level understandable to each child.
OUR PURPOSE
The ZBC Children's Ministry's purpose is to make church a place where children want to be! Our programs are engaging, exciting, and fun while being instructive and inspirational for each child. We believe that each parent, or guardian, is vital in this ministry to your child. We choose to partner with the parents welcoming them to participate, observe, and lead their children in and out of church. We provide home leadership workshops, take home bible lessons, age specific Christian encouragement media, and various other information to support the spiritual developmentof the child and family. Our ultimate goal is to not only lead children but also their families to Christ.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humle themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. " 2 Chronicles 7:14
OUR NAME
We are to be Relentless in our pursuit of God as He is Relentless in the pursuit of us. The term "relent" means to slacken or to change your mind. To be "relentless" means to be steady and persistent; firmly, often unreasonably immovable in purpose or will. We want our youth to be Relentless in their pursuit of God; unchanging and unwavering in their faith and to be consistent and determined in having a relationship with Christ by Relentlessly reading his word, "humbling themselve, prayin, seeking His face, and turning from their wicked ways."
OUR PURPOSE
Our main goal is to meet our students where they are in their walk with Christ in such a way that encourages them to grow closer to Him. We Strive to build long lasting and strong biblical foundations to help them face the difficult challenges of every day life. Through our fun, exciting worship, weekly bible study, or just hanging out, we make every effort to be an example of God's love and grace. All students are welcome to join us as we learn to be RELENTLESS in our faith.
OUR MINISTRY
Our Youth consists of current 6-12th graders. We meet every Sunday for LifeGroup at 9am and Wednesday at 6pm. Every service consists of a time of worship and teaching. On Wednesday evenings our worship is done by our very own youth worship team. We would love for you to join us!
"My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God" Colossians 2:2
OUR NAME
Scientists have discovered that a grove of Live Oak trees is much stronger than a single tree because the deep roots are interwined with neighboring trees. This strength doesn't depend on the trees because the strength is in the roots. The Bible says Christians are stronger when they have "deep roots of love that are knit together with brothers and sisters." This strength doesn't depend on the people because the strength is in the love - God's love. The hearts of God's people often need comfort and encouragement. As women our hearts can often lead us astray, by way of sin, self-doubt, worry, or by weak faith. However, if we remain knittted together by love then we can speak life into each other. We can strengthen our faith in Christ together. We speak encouragement into each other, tying ourselves together with Jesus' love, one heart at a time - one women at a time.
OUR PURPOSE
At Zion, our purpose is to inspire, empower, support, and challenge one another in love to grow in our walk with Christ. We want to equip the women of our church to face the daunting tasks of being a woman, mother, and friend, in today's society through bible studies, prayer, and accountability - LifeGroups. We believe it is our mission to instruct and teach the responsibility of Christian woman according to the principles found in Titus 2:3-5 and Proverbs 31.
OUR MINISTRY
Our Women's Ministry provides Christ-centered spiritual growth and encouragement for ALL women whether you are a member or not. Throughout the year, there are a variety of both on- and off-campus events such as our Annual Women's Brunch, Stitchin' Sisters Sewing Group, Bible Studies, Outreaches, Missions, and more.
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." Colossians 2:6-7
OUR NAME
We all know that a root is the anchoring to all plants, absorbing nutrients and providing long term stability. The term "rooted" means firmly implanted or having roots. We are called to be "rooted and built up in Christ." Strengthened in faith, absorbing and overflowing with thankfulness. As men, it is our job to have an anchoring foundation strong enough to withstand the seasons of life.
OUR PURPOSE
At Zion, we biblically train and equip men to be spiritual leaders in their homes. in the church, and in their places of business. Our goal is to develop men in Christian living to make eternal impacts for this generation and those to come. We accomplish this mission through Bible study, discipleship groups, leadership development, accountability -LifeGroups, mentoring, retreats, mission trips, and special events. In today's culture, it's increasingly important for men to honor God with their hearts and lives and we believe that starts in the ROOTS.
OUR MINISTRY
All men, whether you are a member of our church or not, are invited to attend our various events and outreaches. Men will have the opportunity to attend a Men's Retreat each year, along with special breakfasts, fishing, golfing, outreaches, mission trips, and more.

"The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help" 1 Timothy 5:5
OUR NAME
Throughout the old testament, God reveals to us His heart for widows. While condemning those who would take advantage of them, He calls His people to be those that treat widows with great love and care. It is no wonder that the new testament reveals that one of the key focuses of a local church is to show honor and special care to widows (1 Timothy 5:3-16 & James 1:27). The Healing Hearts are exactly as the name implies, we are here to support each other in our time of grief and help each other to lean on God so that He may heal our hearts.
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of Healing Hearts Widow's Ministry is to provide a secure, comforting, and nurturing community for our widows to grieve and grow in Christ. We strive to help each widow maintain their joy of life through fellowship and lovingly help them address their mental and spiritual needs. We desire to be a church that ministers to those who have experienced life's greatest loss and aid every widow in the transformation process from vulnerability to vitality and might.
OUR MINISTRY
Our ministry regularly meets to fellowship every month. We tale day trips and offer spiritual encouragement through praying for each other. If God is leading you into this ministry of mercy and encouragement, please see Sue Hoover or send her an e-mail below.
OUR PURPOSE
What do you think of when someone says, "Let's Worship together"? Here at Zion we believe that worship is our response to God's revelation of who He is and what He has done. We believe that worship should be a celebration and that we should "shout joyfully to the Lord" (Psalm 100). Worship above all is our expression of love and adoration of God. He is the "Audience of One." Therefore, everything that is done and said in worship needs to be with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and The Holy Spirit as the focus. We are to worship in "spirit and in truth" (John 4:24) which brings both our emotions and our minds to the worship service. Our worship services are multigenerational with a blended music style that is orchestra and choir based. We sing both traditional hymns and contemporary choruses along with gospel songs and traditional anthems. As Christians we need to live our lives each day as Living sacrifices in worship. Worship is something we do all the time, anywhere. We are commanded to assemble together for worship and we invite you and your family to join us each Sunday for worship, celebrating our Risen Lord.
CELEBRATION CHOIR
This choir is our worship choir for our morning service. It is open to any adult who feels God's call to be a part of worship leadership in our church as well as special musical programs throughout the year. It provides spiritual and musical growth through rehearsals, fellowship, and prayer times together. Rehearsals are now being held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:45pm in the Sanctuary. If you are interested in singing, come be our guest and sing with us in rehearsal. We have great fellowship and would love to share that with others who also love to sing. This choir has produced two CD recording entitled "The Joy of Christmas" and "You are God Alone."
CELEBRATION ORCHESTRA
Our orchestra is a growing ensemble that plays for Sunday Morning Worship. They also play with the choir on many of their anthems and for special Christmas and Easter musical programs. If you play an instrument or you have in the past, please come and be our guest and give us a try. Orchestra rehearsal is at 7:45-8:30pm on Wednesday nights in the Sanctuary. If you are a middle school student, come and let us listen to you to see how advanced you are. The director will determine whether you are ready to play or if you need a little more time to develop before joining us. We encourage all middle and high school students to join us. It's a great experience and tons of fun too.
